The Maitland Police Department participates in three multi-jurisdictional task forces:
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Safe Streets
- Internal Revenue Service (IRS) / Secret Service
A Detective is assigned to each task force and is dual sworn though the City of Maitland and through their respective task force’s jurisdiction. These task force positions give investigators an opportunity to enhance their skill set as well as provide the Maitland Police Department with additional resources for large scale investigations.
