The City of Maitland will host a community cleanup event from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, to help keep Lake Sybelia clean and beautiful. The staging area will be at Lake Sybelia Beach on the east side of the lake, 290 Jackson St.
Volunteers are needed to gather litter from areas surrounding the lake. Equipment will be provided.
Participants can register online at Eventbrite.com - search for Maitland Community Cleanup. Then check in by 9 a.m. Sept. 23 at Lake Sybelia Beach. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Bring school community service forms to be signed.
