This in-person class at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at Maitland Community Park, 1400 Mayo Ave., will cover the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ principles in detail, with a focus on practices that are intended to reduce water, fertilizer, and pesticides by selecting and maintaining plants that thrive, provide nutrients and habitat for birds, pollinators, and other wildlife, and help keep pollution out of our water ways.
