The City of Maitland will celebrate Parks and Recreation Month with a free family event from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday at Maitland Community Park, 1400 Mayo Avenue.
Party in the Park will feature bounce houses, a balloon artist, face painting, raffles and prizes, and interactive demonstrations with some of the city’s most popular recreational programs including Flock Fitness, Music with Ms. Rachel, soccer, basketball and tennis.
World record juggler and unicyclist Bruce Sarafian will perform at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. He performs around the country – at festivals, fairs, theme parks and corporate events – mixing comedy and unicycling with juggling balls, blades, flames and more.
Sarafian has been a professional juggler for 35 years and is recognized by Guinness World Records as the first person to juggle 12 balls in 1995.
Victory Martial Arts will have demonstrations at 9:30, 11 and 11:45 a.m. Snack and drink vendors will be available.
Parking is available at Maitland Community Park on Mayo Avenue, and at the Greater Orlando Builders Association on Clayton Heritage Way.
