Join Maitland’s Getdown Downtown street party on Friday, Oct. 3, for live music, food and even more fun for the whole family.
The free event from 6 to 9 p.m. on Independence Lane in front of City Hall will feature a concert from Orlando party band Audio Exchange along with food trucks, local restaurants and vendors.
Set the kids loose on a bounce house and games in the park. All ages can join in the fun with the 30-foot inflatable Hippo Chow Down – essentially a giant-sized game of Hungry Hippos where players are strapped to bungees in a tug-o-war competition to retrieve the most balls in the center of the bouncing arena.
Enjoy food from guest food trucks Island Life and Bao Houz along with Mohawk Barbecue. Downtown restaurants around the event venue include Houndstooth Kitchen and Eatery, Boku Sushi Maitland, Brewlando Brewing, Lazy Moon Pizza, Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream, Starbucks and Parea Greek Taverna.
Free parking is conveniently located south of Independence Lane across Packwood Avenue and north of Independence Lane across Horatio Avenue.
