City Council members, staff, engineers and guests gathered recently to celebrate the completion of another successful project - nearly a third of a mile of new sidewalk along Mohican Trail between Arapaho Trail and North Thistle Lane.
The project created the new sidewalk for several blocks as well as connect some areas with existing sidewalks. The sidewalk route, which alternates between each side of Mohican, improves pedestrian safety in the largely residential area north of Maitland Middle School and Dommerich Elementary School.
Several residential driveways also were partially reconstructed where the sidewalk crosses them.
