Throughout the daily process of law enforcement operations, a vast sum of documentation is generated. The Maitland Police Department's records division is responsible for maintaining, documenting, and storing those physical and/or digital documents. As the Maitland Police Department strives to become a "paperless agency", many of those documents are stored electronically.

Florida has a very broad public records law. Most written communications to or from city employees regarding city business are public records available to the public and media upon request.
Your email communications including your email address may be subject to public disclosure. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity.
