License Requirements

All Vendors:

All Vendors must submit proof of active business registration within the State of Florida, a copy of a local Business Tax Receipt, or proof of exemption.

Food Vendors:

Under Florida Law, vendors selling any consumable goods must have either a Food Permit from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) or License from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), unless operating under Cottage Law.

Food Trucks or trailers must also have a valid Fire Inspection, issued within the last six months by either the City of Maitland, Seminole County, or a jurisdiction within Seminole County.

Cottage Law Accepted

The Maitland Farmer’s Market accepts consumable products sold under the State of Florida Cottage Law, provided that all requirements are strictly adhered to. Cottage Foods do not require a permit, but are subject to strict ingredient and labeling standards. City staff will routinely monitor vendors operating under Cottage Law to ensure that only approved products are made available for sale.
